Cora Jade has returned to NXT after spending the last 9 months on shelf due to an injury.
The former champion had been rehabbing after undergoing surgery for a torn ACL in January. She last competed in a Live Event match against Lyra Valkyria on January 12, 2024.
The latest NXT episode saw Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez defending her title against the newest addition to the roster, Giulia.
After the Japanese star dominated most of the match, Perez decided to end things by attacking her with the Women’s title belt. The referee stopped her and took away the belt.
As the ref was busy with Perez and the title belt, however, a mysterious hooded figure attacked Giulia. The figure delivered a DDT to the challenger and then put her back into the ring.
Roxanne Perez took advantage of the situation and delivered a Pop Rox to Giulia to retain the championship. The mysterious figure removed the hood after the bell rang and they were revealed to be a returning Cora Jade:
What’s Next For Cora Jade?
At this point, it’s unknown if Jade had intended to help Perez retain her title against Giulia or if she acted on her own to put the locker room on notice.
The 23-year-old does have a past connection to the current NXT Women’s Champion. The two previously teamed together and they even held the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships for a while.
We’ll have to wait for things to unfold further to figure out what Jade is really after. One thing is for sure that Giulia will not be happy with the turn of events and the returning star will have to watch out her back after costing the wrestling veteran such a big match.
