Shelton Benjamin Makes AEW Debut On Dynamite Anniversary Show

Former WWE star Shelton Benjamin has made his AEW debut as the ‘President of the Complaint Department’ for MVP.

This comes after MVP himself made his debut for the promotion last week at Grand Slam. He interrupted Prince Nana during an interview and teased the arrival of The Hurt Syndicate.

The 5-year Anniversary of Dynamite this week featured MVP in a backstage segment with Renee Paquette. The wrestling veteran was there to make an announcement but Prince Nana entered the scene before he could do so.

Nana reminded MVP that he used to be a wrestler himself and looked to challenge the former US Champion for a match at the show. The 50-year-old said that it sounded like a complaint but he wasn’t the one who dealt with complaints like that.

The camera then moved around to reveal Shelton Benjamin standing behind Nana. The reveal got a huge pop as MVP introduced Benjamin as his business partner. The two then walked off leaving Nana puzzled.

Shelton Benjamin along with MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Cedric Alexander was part of the group that dominated Monday Night Raw during the pandemic era. The faction known as Hurt Business was disbanded in 2022.

The Gold Standard was released from his contract by WWE on September 21, 2023. MVP and Lashley followed suit and they have both departed the company since then.

With Shelton joining MVP in AEW it seems only a matter of time before Bobby Lashley arrives on the scene as well. The WrestleDream PPV on October 12 seems to be perfect destination for his debut.
