WWE presented the October 4, 2024 episode of SmackDown from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The final show before the Bad PPV featured the return of AJ Styles and more. Here are the full results of the show:
- AJ Styles Promo: Styles seemingly turns babyface saying that he regrets the things he has done in the past. He says SmackDown is still his house before being interrupted by Carmelo Hayes. Hayes talks AJ down for his loss in thee I Quit match against Cody and Styles fires back mentioning his loss against LA Knight. AJ challenges Hayes to a match but he declines. LA Knight comes out and offers Hayes a shot at the US title if he can beat Styles.
- Singles Match – Carmelo Hayes def. AJ Styles: AJ delivers a splash in the corner and then a shoulderbreaker. The former world champion seems to injure his leg in the latter spot and the referee calls for the bell as he can’t continue anymore. Hayes is declared the winner but Knight attacks him with a BFT
- Dumpster Match – Michin def. Chelsea Green: Piper Niven tries to help her friend but fails. Michin sends Niven crashing through the side of the dumpster. She then dumps Chelsea in a table set inside the dumpster for the win.
- Backstage Segment: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill approach Naomi. They inform her that she’ll be hosting Bad Blood with them.
- Women’s Championship Confrontation: Bayley and Nia Jax come face to face before their match tomorrow. Bayley talks about all the great women that have held the women’s title and names legends like Molly Holly, Victoria, Trish Stratus, and Lita. She then points to Tiffany Stratton and tells Jax that she’ll cash in her Money In The Bank on Nia when she gets tired of being put down. Stratton says she doesn’t need the briefcase to beat Nia but then backtracks when Jax asks what she meant. Tiffany attacks Bayley followed by Nia Jax. Bayley manages to fend them both off. Tiffany thinks about cashing the contract but changes her mind when Jax becomes aware of her intention.
- Singles Match – Naomi def. Tiffany Stratton: Stratton delivers a Prettiest Moonsault Ever and a handspring back elbow before going for the pin. Naomi reverses it and gets the win instead.
- Triple Threat Ladder Match For Tag Team Championships – Bloodline def. DIY and Street Profits: All three teams deliver a crazy match with many high spots. The ending of the bout saw both DIY and Profits get on top but they fight each other. Tonga Loa takes advantage of their struggle and grabs the belts after dumping both teams. The Bloodline celebrates after the match as an unhappy DIY refuse to shake Street Profits’ hand.
