Former ROH Champion Dalton Castle has confirmed the injury that has kept him out of action since July this year.

The 38-year-old last wrestled during the July 13 episode of AEW Collision. He went up against Roderick Strong in a #1 contenders match for the ROH World Title but lost the bout. Tony Khan had announced on Twitter later that Castle had suffered an injury in the match.

During a recent appearance on Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend, Castle opened up about his health. He confirmed that he suffered a torn bicep during the mentioned match:

“I tore my bicep. That was back in July, It was the last match I had. The guy I was wrestling, it was just a freak accident. It hurt. I was freaking out. I was supposed to go hiking the next day. I lost the match. I lost my hiking trip. Now, I spend every day in physical therapy, and on the weekends, I go antiquing.”

Dalton Castle is an ROH veteran who had his original run with the promotion from 2013 to 2021. He won the ROH World Heavyweight Championship as well as the ROH TV title during his run.

Tony Khan brought him back to the company when he purchased the promotion in 2022. The wrestling veteran has had multiple title opportunities since his comeback but failed to capture any gold.

In his original announcement, Khan had noted that Castle would stay out of action for the remainder of the year. It’s unknown when he’ll finally be able to make his return.
