Bayley Reveals True Feelings About Mercedes Mone’s WWE Departure

Bayley certainly misses the presence of fellow Horsewomen Sasha Banks now known as Mercedes Mone in the WWE locker room but she is happy that her friend has successfully taken a chance on herself.

The current WWE Women’s World Champion recently had an interview with Denise Salcedo while promoting the WWE Clash At The Castle event in Glasgow, Scotland.

During the interview, Bayley discussed Mercedes making her debut for Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling and mentioned that she does miss her friend:

“I’m so excited to see her take this to the next level. As much as I miss having her here, wrestling to me still feels weird without her, but it’s like I have her in a different way where I can tell her what’s going on here and what I need help with and what I’m trying to do to make it better over here, and the same goes for her. It’s kinda nice that we’re able to help and grow in two different companies and separately. In a way, it’s kind of better.”

Though the WWE star proclaimed that she is proud of The Boss for taking a risk and she is excited to watch Mone carve out a new path for her:

“I’m so proud of her just for taking that leap and taking a chance on herself, and she has so much to offer the world, and there’s just so much more that she’s gonna be able to do. I’m really excited to watch her. Now I just get to be a fan. Can’t be her tag partner anymore, but now I get to be a fan.”

Sasha Banks left WWE in 2022 after more than a decade with the company. While Banks had a successful run in the promotion, she had grown frustrated with her booking over the months leading to her departure.

Her first post-WWE stop was in NJPW where Banks, now going by the name Mercedes Mone found success and had a run with the IWGP Women’s Championship. She has since joined AEW where she is the reigning TBS Champion.
