AEW presented the August 28 episode of Dynamite live from State Farm Center in Champaign, Illinois. Following up on an explosive All In PPV and having only two weeks to build the card for All Out, the show was jam packed with interesting matches and segments. Here are the highlights and results from the show:

  • Jon Moxley Promo: The former AEW Champion makes his first appearance since Forbidden Door PPV. Tony Schiavone interviews him in the ring. Mox cut a cryptic promo saying that he was here to talk to a man who is a lot like him. Jon talks about Darby Allin and tells him that it isn’t his company anymore.
  • Singles Match: Adam Page vs. Tomohiro Ishii: Page wins the match using a Deadeye and Buckshot Lariat. Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana make their way to the ring after the match. Page and Strickland exchange words before Swerve challenges Hangman to a Steel Cage match at All Out. Though Page slides out of the ring instead of replying.
  • Singles Match: Jamie Hayter vs. Harley Cameron: Saraya was at ringside for the bout. Hayter picks up an early win in her return match using the Hayter Line. After the match Saraya threw Cameron in Hayter’s direction before escaping through the crowd.
  • MJF Promo: MJF comes out with his neck wrapped in KT Tape. He talks about losing his Dynamite Diamond Ring and The International Title at All In. He denounces the American Citizenship. Daniel Garcia attacks him from behind and both men brawl until Christopher Daniels and other officials separate them. Garcia tells MJF that he pawned his Diamond ring at a shop in New York. He then reveals that Tony Khan has made a match between them official for All Out. Garcia finally takes out MJF to end the segment.
  • 8 Men Tag Team Match: The Conglomeration and HOOK vs. Roderick Strong, Chris Jericho, Big Bill and Bryan Keith: HOOK makes Strong tap out with Redrum to win the match for his team. All the participants continue brawling after the match until officials come out to stop them.
  • Mariah May Championship Celebration: Tony Schiavone introduces May and congratulates her on her victory at All In. May says she is postponing her championship celebration because she doesn’t want to hold it in Champaign. She takes some more shots at the city before the segment ends.
  • Singles Match: Ricochet vs. Kyle Fletcher: Ricochet delivers an impressive performance in his singles debut for the company. He beats Fletcher with Vertigo. Will Ospreay comes out and stares Ricochet from the ramp. Pac takes out Ospreay from behind. He welcomes Ricochet to the company and tells him to get in line for an International Title shot.
  • Bryan Danielson Promo: Bryan talks about his AEW World Title win at All In and how his contract expired before that. He announces that he will not retire from full-time competition when he is holding the belt. He then issues and open challenge for All Out and TNT Champion Jack Perry answers from the Titan Tron. He then appears in person behind Danielson and takes him out. The show ends with Perry holding both the belts up high.
