AEW star Killswitch, previously known as Luchasaurus has reportedly been hospitalized after being found unconscious in his home.
According to a report from Fightful Select, the former TNT Champion was found unconscious by his finance on Friday, September 27, and he was immediately rushed to the hospital.
A check-up revealed that his oxygen was below 80 and the doctors determined that he had contracted pneumonia in both his lungs. It’s said that he was days away from permanent lung damage.
The heavyweight star’s situation has improved since then. Though he has been told that it will be a month before he will fully recover from the health scare.
Killswitch In AEW
Killswitch is one of the AEW originals who joined the company in 2019. In his early years, the star was known as Luchasaurus and he formed a tag team with Jungle Boy Jack Perry.
Since mid-2022, the 39-year-old has aligned himself with Christian Cage who renamed him to Killswitch. Cage has also added Nick Wayne and his mother to his group to form a new faction called The Patriarchy.
Killswitch has found success under the leadership of Cage in both singles and tag team competitions. He had a run with the TNT Championship in mid-2023 while the Patriarchy has held the AEW trios title as well.
AEW has been teasing the former champion turning on Christian Cage for a while now but they have yet to pull the trigger on this story.
