AEW has confirmed multiple new matches for the upcoming WrestleDream PPV after this week’s Dynamite episode celebrating the 5-year anniversary of the show.
Katsuyori Shibata challenged TNT Champion Jack Perry for a title match during the Wednesday Night Show. Perry attacked Shibata first but then accepted his challenge for the bout.
ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe also accepted a similar challenge from Chris Jericho. This came after a confrontation between the two. Jericho brought up Mark’s deceased brother Jay Briscoe during his promo and proclaimed that Mark would never be as good. The ROH champion slapped Y2J but then agreed to a match.
A match between Jon Moxley and AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson was confirmed during the Grand Slam special last week. Mox defeated Darby Allin to earn the right to challenge Bryan for the world title. Since Darby Allin remained without a match after his loss, the Daredevil announced that he will be hosting an open challenge on the PPV next Saturday.
