Bron Breakker Recaptures Intercontinental Championship From Jey Uso

Bron Breakker has recaptured the Intercontinental Champion in less than a month.

The second-generation star lost the belt to Jey Uso during the September 23 episode of Raw. He got a rematch for the title at the October 21 episode of the show. The bout was the main event of the night and it saw both the stars giving each other a tough competition.

This continued until Solo Sikoa and the rest of the Bloodline showed up. Solo Sikoa claimed that they were here to help Jey retain the title. Sikoa actually saved Uso during a spot, eating a spear from Bron in the process himself. The IC Champion did not trust his cousins, however, and he took both Tonga Loa and Tama Tonga out with a superkick.

Things went haywire when he delivered a tope suicida taking out both Jacob Fatu and Breakker. Fatu did not like this and he attacked Uso in retaliation. Jacob Fatu dropped his cousin on the announce desk and the attack allowed Bron Breakker to capitalize. The young star brought Uso back into the ring and delivered a super spear to Jey to become the Intercontinental Champion again.

Bron Breakker had originally won the IC Championship after defeating Sami Zayn at the end of a long feud at SummerSlam. He ended Jey Uso’s first run as a singles champion in WWE at only 27 days.

Uso is likely to move away from the title picture after his loss as he looks for answers from his cousins. Jey had originally declined to join Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso in their war against the Bloodline. These events may finally convince him to reunite with his twin brother and the Original Tribal Chief.

The New Champion on the other hand would be looking forward to his next challenger. Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio has expressed interest in going after the title in recent interviews so it’s possible that he’ll be Breakker’s next opponent.
