Bryan Danielson Reacts To Possibility of Shane McMahon Joining AEW

Bryan Danielson is very happy to work with Shane McMahon if he comes to AEW.

Shane has recently been rumored to join the company owned by Tony Khan. The AEW President has not denied the possibility and after a photo of his meeting with McMahon made rounds on the internet, it seems very likely that we will see this debut very soon.

During a recent interview with The Gorilla Position, Bryan was asked about the possibility of Shane joining the company and whether he would wanna work with the son of Vince McMahon. Danielson said that he is open to the idea because he doesn’t have beef with anyone:

“I’m open to working with anybody. I don’t have beef with anybody. 100%”

When asked if he knew about the meeting between Khan and McMahon, Bryan Danielson revealed that Tony actually talked to him after the photo went viral on the internet:

“One, if I knew, I would not tell you. Two, I don’t know [laughs]. It was interesting because Tony mentioned to me after the photo came out, ‘I didn’t want to tell you this before, but I met with Shane McMahon.’ I didn’t say this, but I was like, ‘Yeah, I know. The picture is everywhere.’ To be fair, I’m not aware of a lot of things because I don’t go on Twitter or social media.”

Bryan Danielson has worked with Shane McMahon extensively in the past. He was made the General Manager of SmackDown in 2016 after WWE reintroduced the brand split. Shane McMahon was serving as the commissioner of the brand at the time.

The two even teamed for a match at WrestleMania 34 against the duo of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. It was Bryan’s first match after getting cleared to compete once again after his 2015 retirement. Their association however ended afterwards.
