Daniel Garcia has decided to stay with AEW.
The 26-year-old had been missing from AEW TV in recent weeks and there had been lots of speculation about his future with the company.
Garcia put all the rumors to rest with his appearance at the most recent October 8 episode of Dynamite. He hit the ring on the episode called Title Tuesday after a match between Komander and Hologram.
The former ROH Pure Champion first mentioned how he’s been at home since All Out. He claimed that he missed being in a wrestling ring and seeing all the fans.
Daniel Garcia then said that he never wanted to be a guy who didn’t follow through on his words or disappear without an explanation. Garcia proclaimed himself as one of the best professional wrestlers in the world and went on to make an announcement about his future:
“I feel like because I’m one of the best professionals in the world, that it’s only right that I stay where the best wrestle – AEW.”
The New Daniel Garcia
The young star ended his promo explaining that he is a changed man. He will not cry or complain about his losses anymore and become a guy that AEW can build their entire future around.
The AEW star began his career in the independent circuit in 2017. He made his first appearance for All Elite Wrestling in September 2020 and officially signed a deal with the promotion in October 2021.
Garcia is not the only AEW star who has decided to stay with the company in recent times. Both Swerve Strickland and MJF have announced signing a new contract with the promotion in last few months.
