Jade Cargill sees WWE’s new deal with Netflix as a huge opportunity and she believes that it’s gonna get even more eyes on the product.
WWE is currently going through a boom period with the company breaking new records for viewership and live gates with every show. The next big thing for the promotion is their deal with Netflix which will see Monday Night Raw leaving traditional cable TV for the first time in its 29-year history.
During a recent interview with HOT 97, Jade Cargill hyped up this big change. She explained that the move will help the company grow further on an international level:
“That’s huge, guys. That’s a huge opportunity for us. I am so excited. When I tell you this business is booming, our numbers are overwhelming right now. Wrestling is taking off. I think everybody should get more involved. It’s getting higher, it’s getting more eyes on the product. We’re really out here doing things. We’re gonna tap into a whole new system, and I’m pretty sure we’re gonna skyrocket. We’re already skyrocketing.”
WWE Raw first debuted on the USA network back on January 11, 1993. Originally a taped show, the competition from WCW Nitro during the Monday Night Wars era from 1995 to 2001 forced the company to start producing the show live instead.
The show has changed homes several times and has aired on channels such as TNN and Spike TV during its rich history. Though USA Network has been the broadcast partner of the show since 2005 and the new deal will end a streak of 19 years for the two companies.
Raw will move to Netflix in January 2025.
