Watch: Trailer For Mr McMahon Netflix Series Released

Netflix has released the first trailer for the highly anticipated documentary based on the life of former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

The documentary series titled ‘Mr McMahon’ looks at both the on-screen character of the wrestling billionaire and the real-life personality behind it.

Across its six episodes, it will look at both McMahon’s rise to prominence as the biggest wrestling promotor of the world as well as his fall that led to his exit from the company earlier this year.

The Rise and Fall of Vince McMahon

Mr. McMahon started his career when he purchased the then-WWF brand from his father Vince Sr. back in 1982. He proceeded to turn the brand into the biggest sports entertainment entity around the globe.

This meteoric rise didn’t come without its fair share of controversies, however. Whether it’d be the demise of the old territory systems, or the infamous steroid trials, there is a lot that the boss would rather people not remember about his past.

After ruling the wrestling world unopposed for over two decades following the demise of WCW, McMahon’s own fall wasn’t less than a shocker either.

He first resigned from the board when NDAs by several former female employees were discovered back in April 2022, but later forced his way back to the top position of the company.

The boss went on to sell the company in a monumental deal with Endeavor which in turn merged it with UFC to give birth to TKO. At first, the billionaire promotor remained on board, believing the worst was behind him.

When a new lawsuit from former employee Janel Grant revealed some of the shocking accusations behind the NDAs however, McMahon had no choice but to say goodbye to his position once and for all.

It’d be really interesting to see how the upcoming documentary handles all this subjects and blends it all into one series upon its premiere on September 25.
