Shawn Michaels has announced that NXT will be hitting the road for the first two episodes of the show on the CW network, with a couple of special guests.
WWE signed a deal with The CW Network last November which will see the brand leaving their first TV home in USA Network in a couple months time.
The company is looking to make this debut a big one for the development brand. In the effort they have announced that the show that is usually held at the Full Sail University campus will be hitting the road for their premiere on the new network.
The first episode on Tuesday, October 1 will be coming live from the Allstate Arena in Chicago Illinois and the second episode on October 8 will be broadcasted from the Enterprise Center in St Louis, Missouri.
They have also confirmed that the October 1 episode will feature CM Punk as a special guest while Randy Orton will be making an appearance during the October 8 show.
It’s interesting to note here that AEW has announced that Dynamite will be airing on Tuesday instead of their usual spot on Wednesday night on October 8 due to MLB Playoffs airing on TBS the same week.
The last time NXT went head-to-head with AEW’s show, they loaded the lineup with names such as The Undertaker, John Cena and Cody Rhodes all making an appearance. So it’s likely that more names will be announced for the October 8 show of the brand in the coming time.
