Rey Mysterio has won his first two singles matches with Dominik Mysterio but he is still willing to give his son a third match on one condition.
The WWE Hall of Famer recently spoke to ComicBook.com during the recently concluded Fanatics Fest in New York City.
Among other things, he was asked about potentially facing his son again sometime in the future to complete the trilogy. The former world champion seemed enthusiastic about the possibility and proclaimed that he is even willing to put his mask on the line if Dirty Dom agrees to put his mullet for the bet:
“If that trilogy does happen, and when it does, I am willing to put my mask on the line, and he loves his mullet so much, so I would be expecting for him to put his mullet on the line. That or his Dirty Sanchez (mustache).”
Dominik Mysterio made some appearances for WWE during his childhood. He chose to pursue wrestling as a career after growing up and started making occasional appearances for the company in 2019.
The 27-year-old made his official wrestling debut at the 2020 SummerSlam PPV in a match against Seth Rollins. He then started teaming with Rey and the two even won the SmackDown tag team championship together.
The young star, however, turned on his father during the 2022 Clash at The Castle PPV. He aligned himself with Rhea Ripley and the Judgement Day. With the heel turn, Dom choose to change his look, slowly growing a mullet and a mustache that he previously didn’t have.
They father-son duo have had two singles matches since then. Their first match came at WrestleMania 39 last year and the second one as recently as the July 1 episode of Raw this year. Though unfortunately for Dominik, Rey has come on top both times and defeated Dom despite the circumstances.
