Two talents, including one-half of the current Ring of Honor tag team champion Sammy Guevara, had to be stretchered out of tonight’s ROH tapings because of injuries.
AEW taped several matches for upcoming ROH shows before tonight’s Dynamite anniversary episode. One of the matches featured Guevara taking on Serpentico.
Guevara delivered a cutter to his opponent during a spot in the bout but he apparently suffered a head or a shoulder injury during the spot. Sammy stayed down after the move and medical staff rushed to check on him immediately afterward.
The current champion could not get back up on his feet despite efforts from the medical personnel. A fan-made video shows the stretcher they brought in to take him out of the arena:
This is the second serious injury of the night just 4 matches in. Sammy Guevara hit a cutter out of mid air and landed very awkwardly. Match immediately stopped. Appears serious. Very bad start to the night here. #AEWDynamite #AEW #ROH pic.twitter.com/BfzG5CRJhE

The second injury occurred when Lady Frost was wrestling independent star Kelly Madan. Frost went to the top rope for a spot in the bout but she appeared to have knocked her opponent out while coming down. Madan also had to be taken out after this.
Kelly Madan is an indie wrestler coming from Emerson, New Jersey, USA. She made her debut in 2019 and has made appearances for both WWE and AEW as enhancement talent.
Sammy Guevara was previously off TV from February to August this year as well. He was suspended by the company after failing to follow concussion protocol during a match with Jeff Hardy.
Since returning to AEW TV a couple of months ago, Guevara has formed a tag team with Dustin Rhodes. The team of Sammy and Dustin became the ROH Tag Team Champions during the August 17 episode of Collision.
