Tony Khan: ‘Shane McMahon Is Always Welcome In AEW’

Tony Khan is ready to welcome Shane McMahon in AEW.

What once seemed like an absurd take quickly seems to be becoming a very real possibility. After Jim Ross discussed the idea on his podcast, it was reported that Shane McMahon had actually reached out to some AEW talent to talk about the prospect.

Tony Khan had originally responded to the story saying that he had never met or talked to the son of the former WWE Owner Vince McMahon in his life.

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Khan once again commented on the rumor, though this time he claimed that he has a lot of respect for Shane and the junior McMahon is always welcome in his company:

“I heard the rumor he might be interested. I’ve never met Shane, but we have a lot of mutual friends. I have a lot of respect for him as an executive and a professional wrestler. Shane is always welcome in AEW,”

Shane McMahon was last seen on WWE during the WrestleMania 39 week. He was scheduled for a surprise match against The Miz but Shane ended up tearing his quad early in the bout.

Snoop Dogg who was a celebrity guest at the show stepped up in place of the former champion and the rap star actually managed to pick up the victory over the A-Lister.
