Trick Williams has become a two-time NXT Champion after defeating reigning champion Ethan Page in the main event of tonight’s NXT.
The CW Premiere episode of the show from Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois featured a number of big main roster names including the likes of Bianca Belair, The Miz, and Jade Cargill.
Probably the biggest name featured on the episode was hometown star CM Punk. He was the special guest referee for the main event match between Williams and Page.
Punk got into an argument with Page during the bout when the champion told the wrestling veteran to count faster. His tensions with Punk only grew as the special guest referee caught Ethan Page trying to unfairly pin Williams while his foot was on the rope.
The ending of the bout saw Page setting his opponent up for Ego’s Edge but Williams escaped. He then delivered a Trick Shot and pinned the former AEW star to win the match.

Confetti rained down after the bell rang and Trick Williams celebrated his win with the fans. Punk took the time to GTS Page as the show was going off air. CM Punk also had a surprise for the fans in attendance. WWE posted a video of him inviting fans for a free pizza as they exited the arena.
Trick Williams previously won the NXT Championship at the Spring Breakin’ event in April this year. His first title reign didn’t last long however. Ethan Page took the belt away after only 74 days when he beat Williams alongside Shawn Spears and Je’Von Evans in a fatal four way match at the Heatwave special in July.
