WWE Raw (8/26) Highlights & Results: Uncle Howdy Makes In Ring Debut

WWE presented the August 26, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw live from Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island. The final show before the Bash In Berlin PPV, the episode featured the in-ring debut of Uncle Howdy among other things. Here are the highlights and results from the show:

  • The Judgment Day Promo: The group talks about their attack on Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley last week. Dominik mentions how Liv is helping him do things Ripley never did like beating Rey Mysterio. This prompts Rey to come out with the rest of the LWO. The groups exchange words before things got physical. Dragon Lee levels the Judgment Day in the end with a dive outside the ring.
  • Tag Team Match: Judgment Day vs. LWO: The ending of the match saw Rey Mysterio going to the top rope for a splash on Dominik but Liv pulled his partner out. Finn Balor distracted the referee allowing Dom to take advantage and win the match for his team. The Judgment Day continues beating down their opponents after the bout until Priest and Ripley arrive. The terror twins take out the group to end the segment.
  • Tag Team Match: Damage CTRL vs. Pure Fusion Collective: Zoey Stark put Kairi Sane on the top rope before joining her there. Zelina Vega appeared out of nowhere during the match and took out Sonya Deville. The distraction allowed Sane to drop Stark. She then delivered the In-Sane Elbow on Stark for the win.
  • Wyatt Sicks VHS tape: Bo Dallas sends a message to Chad Gable ahead of their upcoming match. Dallas calls him a false prophet before saying that Gable is leading the Creed Brothers to the wolves.
  • Drew McIntyre Promo: Drew sits cross-legged in the middle of the ring imitating CM Punk. He talks about their upcoming strap match before Punk’s music hits. The Straight Edge Star appears with a strap and beats down McIntyre. Punk tries to take his bracelet back but McIntyre stops him. the two men brawl until officials separate them.
  • The Intercontinental Championship #1 Contenders Tournament Semifinals: Jey Uso vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Karrion Kross: Jey landed the Uso Splash on Kross for the win.
  • Randy Orton Promo: Randy thanks fans for their support before talking about his upcoming match with Gunther. He mentions how he was the final champion before the world title was retired and says he would win it back now that it has been reintroduced. He ends the promo warning Gunther about the RKO.
  • Singles Match: Braun Strowman vs. Bronson Reed: The two big men fight each other for a while before Reed starts retreating on the ramp. Braun chases after him but Bronson gets the upper hand and he sends Strowman into the Titan Tron. Reed runs to the backstage area and Braun follows him. Braun takes out some security guards to get to Reed but Reed is able to get a hit on Strowman. Reed grabs a metal pipe and hits Strowman with it. The segment ends with Reed climbing up a wall and delivering a Tsunami on Strowman through a rental car.
  • The Intercontinental Championship #1 Contenders Tournament Semifinals: Pete Dunne vs. The Miz vs. Xavier Woods: Woods delivers a couple of kicks and an elbow drop to Miz. He goes for the pin but Pete Dunne pulls referee out of the ring to break the count. He delivers the The Bitter End on Miz for the win.
  • Sid Vicious Tribute: Michael Cole and Corey Graves pay tribute to the wrestling legend on his passing earlier this week. A video package shows highlights of his career
  • Singles Match: Uncle Howdy vs. Chad Gable: Howdy lands some early offense before Ivy Nile hopped on the apron to distract the referee, allowing Gable to gain control of the match.  Gable puts Howdy in Ankle Lock. While looking to break it up, Howdy sends Gable crashing into the referee. This allows the Creed Brothers to get involved and they pull Howdy out of the ring and send him crashing through barricades. Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, and Dexter Lumis appear to even the odds and everyone brawls. Gable gets Howdy back into the ring amid the chaos but Howdy catches him with a Sister Abigail inside for the win.
