WWE presented the October 18, 2024 episode of SmackDown from Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina. The show featured the much-anticipated debut of Motor City Machine Guns alongside stars such as Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. Below are the full results:
- Solo Sikoa Promo: Solo addresses Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso trying to recruit Jey Uso against his Bloodline. He says Reigns will continue getting beat up unless he acknowledges Sikoa as his Tribal Chief by the end of the night. The Intercontinental Champion comes out to confront his cousins. Jey reminds Solo that he is his elder brother and tells him that Ula Fala is earned not taken. He mentions how he had the most problems with Reigns but he chose to go his separate way. Solo tells Jey not to call him his little brother anymore and asks if he is in or out. Uso questions his motive behind bringing in the other Bloodline members before leaving.
- Triple Threat #1 Contenders Tournament Match – DIY def. Pretty Deadly and The Street Profits (w/ B-Fab): The Street Profits deliver a Japanese Ocean Cyclone Suplex-Blockbuster combo to Elton Prince while DIY gives Meeting In The Middle to Kit Wilson. Tommaso Ciampa and Montez Ford both go for the pin on Prince and Wilson respectively and get the three count. The referee then announces DIY as the winner because Ciampa was legal and Ford was not.
- Backstage Segment: Jey Uso runs into Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso as they’re arriving. Roman tells Jey he is proud of him but Jey refuses to join them and tells them ‘No Yeet’
- Backstage Segment: Nia Jax yells at Tiffany Stratton for not making it to the arena in time while Nick Aldis tells Jax that her tag team match is still going to happen. Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell walk in. LeRae proposes to be Jax’s partner for the night and Aldis agrees.
- Singles Match – Lash Legend (w/ Jakara Jackson) def. Piper Niven (w/ Chelsea Green): Green’s distraction allows Niven to take advantage and she gets the upper hand. In the end, however, Jackson sends Green crashing into the barricade. Legend in the ring avoids a Vader Bomb and then sends Niven crashing into the mat for the pin.
- Cody Rhodes Promos: Cody says that the Crown Jewel championship is all about who is going to hold it first. He says he wants to win it for his daughter and invites Gunther to SmackDown next week.
- Triple Threat #1 Contenders Tournament Match – Motor City Machine Guns def. A-Town Down Under and Los Garza: The Guns make their debut to a big reaction and the match starts with high-flying action. In the end, the duo of Alex Shelly and Chris Sabin deliver an enzuigiri-boot combo on Berto. They follow it up with a Frog Splash-neckbreaker combination for the win.
- Tag Team Match – Nia Jax and Candice LeRae (w/ Indi Hartwell) def. Bayley and Naomi: Naomi takes out Jax on the outside but LeRae distracts the referee. This allows Hartwell to attack Bayley from behind. LeRae then connects with a Moonsault on the veteran for the win.
- Roman Reigns Promo: Reigns tells Columbia to acknowledge him before Solo Sikoa comes out. The two stare each other before Reigns says that he feels the family is divided. Solo tells Reigns to acknowledge him and Roman does. Sikoa says it’s not good enough and Reigns needs to acknowledge him as his ‘Tribal Chief.’ Roman declines and Solo calls for Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu. The trio appears carrying Jimmy Uso. Solo looks to take advantage and take down Roman but the former World Champion sees it coming. He delivers a Superman Punch and then grabs the Ula Fala dropped by Solo. He places it on his neck but Solo low blows him. The Bloodline then beats down Roman Reigns as Fatu places the Ula Fala around Solo’s neck. Solo tells Roman that he is the Tribal Chief as the show goes off air.
