The September 20, 2024 episode of SmackDown came live from Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. The show featured a segment between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns that was nothing sort of a masterpiece. Here are the full results of the episode:
- US Championship Match – LA Knight (c) def. Andrade: Knight used BFT for the win. The pair shake hands after the match. Carmelo Hayes mocks Andrade on his loss backstage and the two get into a brawl.
- Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes Segment: A cinematic segment of the two rivals meeting at Georgia Tech football stadium. Cody asks Roman’s word that he got his back at Bad Blood and Reigns obliges. Roman then tells Cody he will take back what’s his after Bad Blood and Rhodes says the championship is now his. Roman tells Cody he is in his way in life and leaves.
- Singles Match – Apollo Crews def. Giovanni Vinci: Crews wins via a rollup. Vinci attacks Crews after the bout.
- Kevin Owens Promo: Owens talks about Cody Rhodes teaming with Roman Reigns before Tonga Loa comes out. The two exchange words and the Bloodline surrounds the ring. They begin to attack Owens before DIY makes the save. GM Nick Aldis along with other officials breaks the fight and makes six men tag for later in the night.
- Tornado Tag Team Match – Naomi and Bayley def. Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton: Both Naomi and Bayley pin Jax at the same time for the win. They argue backstage about who should challenge Jax and Nick Aldis makes a match for next week to determine the new #1 contender.
- Six Men Tag – The Bloodline vs. Kevin Owens and DIY: Bloodline attacks DIY backstage before the match. Owens in response attacks them during their entrance. Street Profits come out to help and they end up teaming with Owens. The match ends in a DQ when chaos takes over and the referee can’t control anything.
