WWE presented the September 6 episode of SmackDown from Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It’s the last episode of the Blue Branded Show airing on Fox, before it returns to USA Network. Here are the full results of the show:
- Cody Rhodes Promo: Cody talks about his victory at Bash In Berlin and then calls out The Bloodline. Solo Sikoa comes with Jacob Fatu and says Rhodes should his defend his title against a ‘real challenger.’ Rhodes plays it up saying there should be a title match but offers it to Jacob Fatu instead. The crowd pops for it as Solo and Jacob share a tense moment. Fatu finally steps down and then Solo calls the whole Bloodline to attack Cody. Street Profits and DIY come in before their attack. Nick Aldis comes out and makes a eight men tag for the main event. He then announces Solo vs. Cody for the WWE title next week on SmackDown, but inside a steel cage.
- Backstage Segment: Tiffany Stratton is hanging out with Pretty Deadly when Nia Jax walks up. She says people are accusing Tiffany of almost cashing in her Money In The Bank on Nia and Stratton says you can’t trust anyone. She asks Jax to be in her corner for her match tonight and Nia says she’ll be in the corner like Stratton was for her.
- Singles Match – Bayley def. Tiffany Stratton: Nia Jax is not present from the beginning but she comes up later on. Jax distracts Bayley and Tiffany takes advantage. She hits an Alabama Slam but Bayley manages to kick out. Bayley takes out Nia Jax on the outside before getting back in. Tiffany rolls Bayley up for the pin but an angered Nia is distracting the ref and Stratton can’t get the pin. Bayley finally hits the Rose Plant for the win.
- Backstage Segment: Austin Theory and Greyson Waller mock Kevin Owens for losing his friendship with Cody Rhodes after the latter decided to team up with Roman Reigns. Owens says they’re just fine and proposes a triple threat among them to see if Waller and Theory are as good friends as they say.
- Singles Match – Apollo Crews vs. Giovanni Vinci: Vinci is making his in return after breaking up with Imperium. Crews rolls him up for the win right as the match begins, before Vinci can get any offense.
- Triple Threat Match – Kevin Owens def. Austin Theory and Greyson Waller: Waller and Theory begin by working together but tensions grow during the bout. They both break up each other’s pin attempt several times. Towards the end, Theory sends Owens crashing into Waller and goes for the pin. Owens counters with a stunner for the win. Theory and Waller attack Owens after the match and celebrate together.
- LA Knight Promo: Knight talks about his successful title defence which brings out Carmelo Hayes. Hayes says he has been stealing the show on SmackDown and deserves a title match. Andrade comes out and reminds Hayes that he beat him twice. Hayes throws Andrade into Knight and Knight gives him a BFT. Hayes starts mocking Andrade as Knight looks to leave. The US Champion comes back to deliver another BFT, this time to Carmelo.
- Singles Match – Chelsea Green def. Michin: Green beats Michin with help from Piper Niven
- Eight Men Tag Team Match – The Bloodline def. Street Profits and DIY: Street Profits and DIY agree to work together to take down Bloodline. The bout begins with a massive brawl between all superstars. In the end, Bloodline proves to be the better team and they celebrate their victory to end the show.
