Bill Goldberg Wishes Bret Hart Would ‘Grow Up’ And Stop Complaining About Him

Bill Goldberg has said that the continuous animosity from Bret Hart he has to face over makes him sad as a human being and he wishes that the fellow WCW alumni will ‘grow up.’

Bret Hart infamously suffered a career-ending neck injury at the hands of the former WWE Universal Champion at the 1999 WCW Starrcade PPV. While it has been over 2 decades since the incident occurred, Hart has not forgiven the footballer-turned-wrestler. He continues to take shots at Goldberg for ending his career to this day.

Goldberg opened up about this during a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio. He spoke about Hart once again going off at him during the most recent episode of the Who Killed WCW docu-series and proclaimed that the whole situation sucks:

“Bret Hart thing is just it just saddens me as a human being. That’s all. I mean, first and foremost, I would never wish ill will upon any opponent or anyone like that to have an accident like that happen. And end someone’s career, especially someone who’s, you know, one of the best that ever was 100%. It sucks. I’m not asking anybody to understand it. I’m just saying, just leave me alone.”

The former WCW Champion mentioned that you cannot change the past. After having apologized to Bret many times, he wishes that the wrestling veteran would just grow up:

“Yes, sir [about warning him the kick was coming]. Put your hand up. Do whatever you got to do, man. It is what it is. Come on, man. I love you, Bret. Don’t be such a prick. That’s all. Grow up.”

Bill Goldberg was part of the WCW roster from 1997 to 2001. Before their relationship soured, Goldberg was good friends with Bret Hart and the two even had a short tag team run in the company.
