Lilian Garcia has confirmed that she is back with WWE on a full-time basis.
The veteran ring announcer made her return to the company during the October 22 episode of Raw. This came after Samantha Irvin’s announcement about leaving WWE surprised the fans earlier in the same day. Samantha ended her 3-year run with the promotion.
Garcia posted a video on her Instagram after receiving a warm welcome from the fans upon her return. She noted that it’s been eight years since she left her full-time position in the wrestling industry:
“I’ve popped in every now and then, but it’s been eight years since I was the full-time announcer there. And my goodness, when my music hit and I got introduced, the cheers and the applause and the roar that you gave me tonight. Thank you.”
Lillian mentioned that she was really nervous when her music hit but claimed that the fan support made it all worth it. She said that she is excited about where things are headed.
The returning WWE star also addressed Samantha’s departure in her video. Irvin is believed to be leaving the wrestling industry altogether to pursue her music career. Garcia wished her all the success in her next endeavor.
Lillian Garcia had two long runs with WWE between 1999 and 2016. She had been making sporadic appearances for the company in recent years. Her last appearance before her full-time return came during the May 13, 2024 episode of Raw.
