Nixon Newell, formerly known as Tegan Nox of WWE and her tag team partner Miranda Alize had been subject to a lot of negative discussion after they were reported to have walked out of the 8 2025, edition of AEW Collision due to creative differences.
The female wrestling star addressed the fallout of the reported walkout during her most recent interview with cryptocasinos.com. Nixon Newell claimed that the dirt sheets actually had no idea what really happened between them and AEW officials:
“Oh yeah. What was crazy about it was the dirt sheets had no actual idea what was happening, so they were just assuming, and that’s what got all the traction, the assumptions, not the true story. And then random people who also didn’t know what happened, as they weren’t involved in any of the conversations with us and the higher-ups, interjecting and creating this whole scenario that didn’t happen.”
When asked about how the issue escalated beyond anyone’s control, Newell revealed that she got death threats over the reports for months after the show:
“Yeah. For a long time, I want to say four months, almost, I had death threats every day.”
Explaining what really went down, Nixon Newell said that they had been promised something which they did not get. The former WWE star also said that the officials were not upset with them and they were actually told that they had an open invite back to the company:
“Yeah, it was crazy. We weren’t asking for a fifteen-minute time-limit extravaganza. We were promised at least six minutes and something of worth and didn’t get it. We knew going in we were losing; that’s not a problem. Most of my career is losing. We understood their stance, they understood ours. It’s a business. But then for some wrestling fans to be like, ‘Kill yourself, you walked out on AEW.’”
